With their gorgeous muddy green colour, abc textured handles, this set of mid century, Prinknash soup bowls and plates are right on trend.

Prinknash Pottery was founded in 1942 and continued until 1997 when it was sold to the Welsh Porcelain Company. The pottery was based at Prinknash Abbey and the work was made by the Benedictine monks based there. The original source of the pottery was a seam of clay that was found by the monks on the abbey site.

Each bowl measures 10cm in diameter and 6cm high.

Each plate measures 14.5cm in diameter.

All are free from chips and cracks, but do have some crazing to the glaze and age related marks.

The bowls carry the backstamp but the plates do not.
