A huge, heavy, travel trunk, steeped in history. We know due to the travel labels still stuck on the trunk that it has travelled between Surrey and Denmark, and was once used on RAF base station St David’s. There are other incomplete labels that suggest further travel. One of the labels is dated 06/08/46, however the style of the trunk suggests that it is much older, probably Victorian.

Made from thick dark brown leather, with brass studs. Inside is a light tan, hard wearing cotton, with a drop down top section and brown leather straps.

A wonderful piece of history, perfect for display of tv/theatre props.

The clasps on the front of the case are unlocked and in good working order. No key.

Heavy wear and signs of age throughout that adds to the vintage feel (see pictures).

Measuring approximately 65cm long, 28cm high and 42cm deep.
